What role has the "delimiter" in shaping the i-Button?
"Delimiter" is a code / symbol is placed after the suffix of the data. Its function is to provide extra actions after the data series. When the "delimiter" is activated, it can operate in four different ways: 1. CR: Back to the top once the data is read. 2. LF: Skip a line while maintaining the position, not placed at the beginning, once the data are read. 3. CR + LF: Skips to the beginning of the next line once the data are read. 4. TAB: Move eight spaces when data is read.

What is the HWM?
HWM is a hardware controller (Hardware Monitor). Is basically a control program of the ventilation system which increases or decreases the fan speed in relation to the CPU and the system temperature.   The main purpose of this utility is to reduce the noise caused by fans of board and / or CPU. Decrease the rotational speed thereof when the temperature falls below a pre-established threshold. When the temperature rises and exceeds the threshold, the rotational speed increases.

Why I can not use the keyboard that is connected to the scanner?
Typical bug that has Redhat 9.0 operating system when installed on a system with VIA CLE266 chip and LCD screen. The problem is caused by Redhat 9.0 that directly attempt to program the VGA registers, instead of using the VESA standards. For more information visit this link.

I have successfully installed Linux Redhat 8.0 on a Jiva 5800 and works perfectly. It does not work with Linux Redhat 9.0. When I connect a KB-3100 to PC, it works perfectly under DOS or Windows 98 environment. However, when I change the OS to Windows 2000 or Windows XP, the KB-3100 stops working. If I connect a PC keyboard to KB-3100 and restart the system, the KB-3100 usually works under both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Why?
The cause of the problem is the response time between the KB-3100 and Windows 2000/XP. When starting the Windows 2000/XP, the devices detect all relevant system. If the device does not respond in time, the operating system will be confused, thinking that the device is not and will disable it.   solution:   Use REGEDIT to add a DWORD value for Windows 2000 or XP (Windows 2000 must have Service Pack 3 or higher).   Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ i8042prt \ Parameters Value: Headless Type: REG_DWORD Data: 0x1 (enables hot plug a keyboard PS / 2. To disable this function, assign the data value to 0).   For more information, visit this link

¿I can increase the CPU of a Jiva 8000?
  If both the terminal 8000 as Jiva HT using the socket (socket) mPGA478 therefore is possible to increase the CPU. Here are the CPUs that can be used both in the Jiva 8000 as the HT:   Celeron 1.60 GHz / 0.13 micron / 128KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 1.80 GHz / 0.13 micron / 128KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.00 GHz / 0.13 micron / 128KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.20 GHz / 0.13 micron / 128KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.40 GHz / 0.13 micron / 128KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2   Pentium 4 1.50 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 1.60 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 1.70 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 1.80 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 1.90 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.00 GHz / 0.18 micron / 256KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.00 GHz / 0.18 micron / 512KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.20 GHz / 0.18 micron / 512KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2 2.40 GHz / 0.18 micron / 512KB L2 cache / 400 MHz FSB / FC-PGA2   However, due to problems of temperature, in the case of Jiva 8000, only accept processors above 2.0 GHz in the reviews of C3 or subsequent plate.

¿I can increase the CPU of a Jiva 5800?
Unfortunately, in the Jiva 5600/5700/5800/5900 processor is directly connected to the plate, without use of socket, so that it is possible to increase CPU.

Once I installed the VGA driver of a terminal HT, why sometimes you see a white screen, or shows a central line to restart?
Probably happen because you installed the VGA driver of a Jiva 8000 in place of a HT. They are basically the same, but the driver of the Jiva 8000 has a default resolution 1024x768, whereas the HT has it 800x600. Therefore, installing the appropriate driver the problem should be addressed.

Why I can not move the mouse cursor to the second screen when I work with a Jiva Terminal (Touch PS / 2) under the dual screen mode?
It's because the touchpad driver PS / 2 has absolute control over the coordinates of mouse movement. The problem is the inconsistency in some cases between the mouse and the trackpad. We strongly recommend using RS232 or USB mouse to avoid the problem.

I'm using a MR-2000 under DOS environment MSR.exe When I use to configure my reader, works without problems. But if I turn off and turn on the computer, setting the reader is lost, why?
Once your reader is setup, you automatically have to have created a file called MSR.dat. To keep programming the scanner correctly every time you start your system, please place the files and MSR.dat MSR.exe in the same directory, and then add "MSR.exe-s" to your autoexec.bat.

How does the keyboard interface?
The keyboard interface chain works like a daisy chain (SCSI) or a pass-through RS232. Does not need a terminator or a termination device at the end of the chain. The last device in the chain can be either PS / 2 connector as the old AT.   Keyboard devices PS / 2 are generally input devices such as keyboards, magnetic stripe or barcode readers. Each device acts as a keyboard and sends the data as a series of keyboard. Therefore, there is no driver necessary, and is controlled by the hardware. If any device in the chain is closed, such as a Posiflex keyboard on L0, the device and all devices that are behind him in the chain will stop working.

Why does not get power to my scanner?
Make sure you are perfect and firmly plugged into the correct port. For scanners with keyboard interface, make sure the scanner is connected to a port AT or PS / 2, and make sure you use an adapter (if necessary use) appropriate and proper operation. Also check that the connector is using the keyboard and the mouse.

Why does my scanner does not read, even when the power is correct?
Make sure that both the connections and settings are correct.

Can you take the Touch PS/2 Touch Dual function?
Limited by its original design, the Touch PS / 2 does not support the touch function on the second screen. We recommend using the RS232 touch if you want the second screen is also touch.

Do you support the Jiva Jiva 5800 and 7000 the dual display under Windows 2000?
According to the Microsoft document Q329844, Windows 2000 does not support clone view or dual view capability if you use a video card with multiple connections. However, the manufacturer of the video card may incorporate dual view in your driver. Unfortunately, our suppliers of graphics cards, VIA and SIS had not considered the development of dual vista driver under Windows 2000.

(Use the Com1 if the drawer is connected to the port of Posiflex terminal box) To send apuertura command, use the Echo:, use Ctrl + G and redirect the com port as follows:   Echo ^ G> com [n], where ctrl. + G is shown as "^ G"   Two drawers can be connected to the same drawer port terminal. To test the Drawer 2, replace "Ctrl + G" to "Ctrl. + W".   If that does not open, contact your dealer.

How does the pass-through RS232?
Pass Through RS232 interface is a chain, such as SCSI or keyboard. This requires a terminator or a closing device at the end chain. The devices are usually a majority Pass Through output devices and the fate of this information is usually defined by a series of codes preceding it, indicating to the terminal or computer to this information must be peripheral. If this code is not sent, the information will reach the first device to be.
